Anti Virus நிறுவப்படாத கணினி அல்லது முறையான உரிமம் இல்லாத Anti Virus மென்பொருட்கள் நிறுவப்பட்டுள்ள கணினிகள், வைரஸ்/மால் வேர் தாக்குதல்களிலிருந்து தப்புவது மிகக் கடினமான விஷயமாகும். ஒரு சில சமயங்களில், உங்களது கணினி மிக மோசமான வைரஸ்/மால்வேர் தாக்குதல்களினால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டு, அதன் இயக்கும் முற்றிலும் முடக்கப் பட்டு, இயங்குதளம் கூட ஒழுங்காக பூட் ஆகாத நிலைக்கு தள்ளப்பட்டிருக்கலாம்.

இது போன்ற சமயங்களில் நமக்கு சமய சஞ்சீவியாக அமைவது Kaspersky நிறுவனத்தின் இலவச Bootable Kaspersky Rescue Disk.

இந்த பயனுள்ள கருவி, ISO இமேஜ் கோப்பாக தரவிறக்க Kaspersky தளத்திலேயே கிடைக்கிறது. (தரவிறக்க சுட்டி இறுதியில் தரபட்டுள்ளது). இந்த ISO கோப்பை தரவிறக்கம் (வைரஸ்/மால்வேர் அல்லாத கணினியில்) செய்து கொண்டு, Nero Burning Rom போன்ற CD/DVD Burning Software ஐ பயன் படுத்தி இந்த ISO Image லிருந்து, CD ஐ உருவாக்கிக் கொள்ளுங்கள். இந்த மென்பொருட்கள் இல்லாதவர்கள் இறுதியில் தரப்பட்டுள்ள சுட்டியை க்ளிக் செய்து ImgBurn மென்பொருளை தரவிறக்கி உபயோகித்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்.

இப்படி உருவாக்கிய Kaspersky Rescue Disk ஐ பாதிக்கப்பட்ட கணினியில், First Boot Device ஐ Bios Settings இல் CD/DVD க்கு மாற்றிவிட்டு, இந்த CD ஐ கொண்டு பூட் செய்யுங்கள். திரையில் Kaspersky Rescue Disk. Graphic Mode என்பதை தேர்வு செய்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.

பின்னர் இதில் தொடரும் விசார்டை பின் பற்றி உங்கள் வன்தட்டில் உள்ள வைரஸ்/மால்வேர்களை நீக்கி, உங்கள் கணினியை உயிர்ப்பிக்கலாம்.

இது போன்ற பிரச்சனைகள் உங்கள் கணினியில் இல்லாவிட்டாலும் கூட, இந்த Rescue CD ஐ உருவாக்கி வைத்துக் கொள்வது, ஆபத்து நேரத்தில் மிகவும் பயனுள்ளதாக இருக்கும்.

Setup3. Connect your Android device.

Now, let’s connect your device.

• Connect your device.
• Select input method as “Mobiler”.

1. Connect your device. (Click “Tray Icon” – “Connect”)

Setup1. Setup your Android device.

Before installing MyMobiler, you need to setup your Android device. If your device is already “ROOTED”, you may skip this step.

• Enable USB Debugging / Unknown sources
• Insall USB driver for your device
• Super user permission (ROOT device)

1. Enable USB Debugging.
(“Settings” > “Applications” > “Development” > “USB Debugging”)

2. Enable Unknown sources
(“Settings” > “Applications” > “Unknown sources”)

3. Install USB driver for your Android device.

- Find out a device model name. (Settings > About > Check device model name)

- Download & install an USB driver. http://developer.android.com/sdk/oem-usb.html

- Connect your android device. When prompted for asking the location of USB driver, browse and select a USB driver folder.

(You can also check by “Control Panel” > “Device Manager”)

* Note: When your device connected and if you see “USB debugging connected”, the configuration is done successfully.

4. Super User Permission required. *ROOTED*

* Your device should be ROOTED. Strongly recommend that you understand what exactly the rooting does and change your device before continue.

• You can do temporary root. (After reset device, rooting will be gone)
• You can do root your device now and also unroot later.

Setup2. Install MyMobiler

Let’s install MyMobiler to your device.

• Download & Install MyMobiler.
• Connect USB Cable.
• Install “Mobiler” to your device.
• Grant permission by “Grant Permission” button.
• Enable Input Method “Mobiler” .

1. Download and run MyMobiler.

* Download & install latest version (MyMobiler v0.80)

* Note: Run MyMobiler setup file or you can download .zip file and extract files to any folder.

2. Connect USB cable.

* You can check current USB Status. (Click “Tray Icon” > “Device” > “USB Connection Status”)

3. Install “Mobiler” to your device. (Click “Tray Icon” > “Device” > “Install”)

* If the installation is done successfully, “MyMobiler Setting” screen will be shown on your device.

4. Grant user permission by selecting “Grant permission” button.

* Note: You can do permission testing by selecting “Test!” button. If you don’t see any error message, it should be okay now.

5. Enable Input Method “Mobiler”. (“Settings” button > Check “Mobiler”)

* Note: If you don’t see “Mobiler” here, you need to enable “Mobiler” first by selecting “Settings” button.

How To Hide Drives In My Computer

Hi Subhash here, Let me thanks Atish once again to present you guys with another “Registry Trick“. In this tutorial we will see how you can hide a particular Drive or multiple drives from Windows Explorer (my Computer).

Are you one of them who always tries to hide things in your computer? Like hiding a folder, hiding a file or looking for tips to set permissions so that someone (may be your friend or family members ) cannot see it ? Here is a good news for you. Using this trick you can hide drives in My Computer.

Let me go a bit more detailed as to what I mean. If you have like 3 drives in your computer, Let’s say C: D: and E:, using this registry trick you can hide one or more of your drives. Now you can keep all your private stuff in a separate drive and be confident, Now one will see it until you want. Let it be school, collage or your home.

Here is the step by step instructions with screenshots to help you accomplish this.

1. Open Registry Editor .

a. If you are on windows XP, Go to start->Run and type “regedit” press
enter.

b. Windows 7 users, Can type “regedit” in start menu search box.

Navigate to “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer“

3. Right click on the white space in right side and select new=>Dword Value (as shown in below screenshot).

4. Put the name of the Value as “NoDrives” (Without quotes)

5. Now we have to put some data in this value so windows explorer will not display the specified drives. There values has to be in HEX, but most of the us are not comfortable in HEX so here is the Decimal values for the drives .

• To hide A: 1,
• To hide B : 2,
• To hide C : 4,
• To hide D : 8,
• To hide E : 16,
• To hide F : 32,
• To hide G : 64
• To hide H : 128

By this time you know how this algorithm works, You can calculate the values yourself for a particular number (Hint hint hint : Test your Mathematics)

If you want to hide more than one drive, just sum up the values. Like to hide E and F, the value data would be “16+32″ = 48

6. Decide which volume/drive you want to hide from above example and then put it as the value data in for the value name “NoData”. For example, I
am going to hide drive E: so the value will be 16.

7. That’s All you have to do. Now restart your computer so the changes can take effect. Next time when you login, you will not see the drive you just hide. To get it back, Simply delete the registry key , log off and relogin.

For curios guys who wants to know how it works, Explorer.exe (which is your Shell) , reads this registry key to get the settings and restrictions if any assigned to that particular user. The Hkey_Current_User key is for the current logged in user only. If this change is made to ”HKLM(HkeyLocalMachine) settings will be applied to all users on the
computer.

Disclaimer : The above changes required making changes in Windows Registry. Do not mess with the keys you do not know about. It can cause your system to become unstable. If something goes wrong, Do not panic and try to undo what you have or ask for help with detailed information about what sort of
problem you are encountering

Hide Drives from Your Computer in Windows 7 or Vista

If you’ve got drives in My Computer that you never access, such as a USB Flash drive that you are using solely for ReadyBoost, a floppy drive, or a network drive only used for a particular piece of software, then you might want to simply hide the drive from your computer.

This tip will only hide the drive from being displayed, applications and the command prompt will still have access to it, and you can still manually browse to the folder if you type in the path.

Now what’s that floppy drive doing there?

Configure the Hidden Drives

Open up regedit.exe by using the start menu search box, and then browse down to the following key.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

If the Explorer key does not exist, you can right-click on Policies, select New Key and name it Explorer.

The NoDrives key most likely does not exist by default, so you’ll need to create it with right-click \ new 32-bit DWORD and name it NoDrives.

This value is a 32 bit number, and the bits are arranged in reverse order with a value of 1 hiding that drive. For example, if we wanted to hide drives A: and F: we would arrange it like this:

Converting 100001 to decimal we end up with a decimal value of 33 or a hex value of 0×21, so if you double-click on the key in the registry editor, choose Decimal and then enter 33 into the value field.

In order to see these changes, you’ll need to restart explorer.exe, which you can do easily from Task Manager or the longer way by just logging off and back on.

Uninstall Tweak

To disable this tweak, simply remove the NoDrives registry key entirely.

Here’s a list of the values you’ll want to enter for a few different drive letters.

If you want to hide multiple drives, you’ll need to use the table of all the drive letters to figure out the correct binary code, and then convert that to decimal or hex. (hint: you can use the calculator in scientific mode)

Look, now that worthless floppy drive is gone!

Naturally it would be better to disable the floppy drive in your BIOS, but this tip is still valid for other types of drives.

Note that this also works on Windows XP.
